§ 66-24. Powers and duties.

  • (a)

    All of the duties and responsibilities heretofore incumbent upon the office of city marshal, whether statutory or specifically delegated and assigned by ordinance, are transferred and assigned to and made obligatory upon the chief of police.

    (b)

    The chief of police is authorized, directed and empowered to perform such other and further police duties as the mayor may direct and as may be authorized under the laws applicable to type A general-law municipalities.
