§ 1-14. Fee for returned checks.

There is hereby imposed and levied a fee of $25.00 against any person who issues a check to the city for payment of any obligation, when such check is dishonored for any reason by the bank or institution upon which such check is drawn. The fee established hereby is for the purpose of reimbursing the city for its costs resulting from any such dishonored check, and such fee shall be cumulative of other remedies to which the city may be entitled therefor.
