§ 2-363. Contents of application.
An application for variance shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
(1)
The name, phone number, and address of the applicant;
(2)
The legal description, title policy, purchase contract, and the address (if applicable) of the property that is the subject of the application for variance;
(3)
The specific provision of the Code from which the applicant seeks a variance and the specific provision that allows a variance;
(4)
A detailed description of why the literal enforcement of the rules and regulations should not be applied, the reasons why a variance from the relevant rules and regulations is the only feasible solution, and how the standards, if any, that govern the granting of the variance could be satisfied;
(5)
A detailed description of all actions taken by the applicant in an attempt to comply with the relevant rules and regulations;
(6)
The signed consent of the owner or owners of the subject property for the applicant to act on behalf of the owner, if the applicant is not the owner of the property; and
(7)
Such other information or documentation as the city council or staff may deem necessary in order to competently consider the request for variance.
